Who we are

From the origins to today

The Masseria was built by Francesco Mormina Penna as a summer residence.

With Vincenzino it transformed into a Masseria, with Turi on the farm.

Today, under the management of Vincenzo, returns to being a residence that preserves the rebellious and visionary identity of all those who preceded it.

Country house

It has always been a meeting place for family meals and parties with friends.

An open and inclusive community united by the desire for sociality.

The agricultural company

It has been present on the farm since the 1990s, a few steps from the Masseria, the agricultural company started by Turi.

Here we mainly grow and market vegetables.  

Simple things

Simple and never banal things: a tour of the grounds and surrounding area to admire nature.
The walks in search of asparagus or other wild herbs.

Witness the ritual that is repeated year after year: the harvest of carobs, of almonds and the pressing of olives.

The animals of the Masseria

Here animals are an integral part of the family. You will find dogs, gatti, two ponies and a donkey.
We will also be happy to host your four-legged best friend if you want to take him with you on holiday.

The ancient train line

The Masseria is located on the nineteenth-century train line, between Syracuse, Scicli and Ragusa. Every day a small monocar – the little book – , which passes through numerous centers declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, it passes through here too. A magical experience that will mark the long summer days.
