The farm is an unfinished residence built in the nineteenth century
Wanted as a country residence by Francesco Mormina Penna, nonconformist nobleman in the local aristocratic context, historian Mazzinian, he stood out in the stale aristocratic class thanks to his choices and significant actions in favor of the people.
In the 60s, it was purchased with the surrounding land by Vincenzo Carbone (grandfather Vincenzino), who started an animal farm here to support the historic family business. Here he tested the model "from producer to consumer". A forerunner of km 0.
In the 90s Vincenzino's son, Salvatore "Tours", followed the trend of the area: "intensive agriculture". By combining love for one's land with innovation, the horticultural company was born and still thrives today.
Nowadays the Masseria preserves its roots while looking to the future and it does so thanks to Vincenzo jr who, with Carlo's help, has managed with passion and dedication to create a place made of sincere experiences in which to live the authentic Sicilian lifestyle.
